We serve New Jersey, New York, Long Island, Philadelphia area and beyond. We have seen a lot of fun and creative things done during the wedding ceremony and reception. Here is list of great tips that will help make for wonderful memories with photos and video.

1. Bride and groom can bring sentimental items to the preceremony prep for pictures or video like invitations, jewelry, rings, shoes, veil, family heirloom and keepsakes, custom signs, monogrammed personalized objects, favorite hobby together. Fun party items are nice too like festive heart balloons and instant polaroid cameras for bridal party to get fun candid prep pictures. You can ask yourself what do you cherish most or what do you enjoy doing the most together and bring items from that. We will photograph and videograph all these things

2. Exchange gifts and short heartfelt love letters to read before ceremony. Write and read heart felt vows at ceremony is wonderful too and is great to listen to on video

3. Get engagement photos and video. Most people are not use to being in front of camera so this will help them get more comfortable as the big stars of their wedding. This will also give good idea of how their wedding photos or video might look like

4. Brides should get professional makeup artist and hair stylist. This is one of the most important things to get for your wedding. I have done many model photoshoots and weddings and a great make artist helps a lot in how you will look in the photos and video.  This includes getting a makeup trial done so you know what it will look like and feel comfortable. Good foundation for smooth skin and cover the pores. Great makeup by professional makeup artist truly makes people look glamorous on their wedding day.

5. Get a lot of rest before wedding and feel good with a healthy diet and exercise for energy. Schedule a massage or take a spa trip to relax with the bride and bridesmaids before the wedding. 

6. Choreograph or take dance lessons for first dance.  Even learning ONE dance move or fun dance lift would look amazing and have the guests cheering and they will appreciate the effort. It will provide another great memory for wedding photos and video – especially the wedding highlight film.

 

 

7. Bridal party portrait session before or after ceremony is very important when working with Sweet Dreams Studio. The session is usually the most creative fun shots for wedding photography and videography. We have experienced creative eye on what looks good and we will help direct and pose the bridal party so it is easy for everyone. Our goal is to make it fun while having everyone look great with the focus on the Bride and Groom. Enough time should be allotted for the session so there is no rush and it can be with nice scenic background at the venue or other location.

8. Bride and groom should hold kiss for couple of seconds during ceremony so we can make sure to get shots of it. Don’t quick kiss. Doing another long kiss walking out of the aisle for the recessional is great for pictures and video.

9. Remember the simple act of smiling and enjoying yourself will look 10 times better in photos and video than not smiling – unless it is for romantic somber pose together. Smiling is also contagious and spreads good vibes to everyone else.

10. Remember it is your wedding party and you can make it as fun as you want. Here are some popular ideas – throw confetti or blow bubbles at end of ceremony down the aisle, rent Sparkler machine at reception for grand entrance, write special words like I DO on bottom of shoes, have reception table with photos of extended family, line up for sparklers at the end of the night, do fun dance routine with entire bridal party.
